Steve Carlton Photo from Outside Cardinals’ Club

Steve Carlton Photo from Outside Cardinals’ Club

This splendid matted and framed photo of Steve Carlton will bring mixed emotions to Cardinals fans who still burn over Carlton being traded away in 1972. In his Cardinals years (1965-71), the long and lanky “Lefty” showed flashes of the Hall of Famer who ranks today as the second-winningest southpaw in history next to Warren Spahn (329), and fourth overall in strikeouts (4,136). The shot of a young Carlton going into his windup before a game at Sportsman’s Park hung in the lobby between the umpires room and the Cardinals Club. Plaque beneath the image reads: “Steve Carlton, St. Louis Cardinals Pitcher, 1965-71”. Matted and gold framed to 39” long and x 33” wide. EX-MT condition. <br>(Estimate $300 - $500)
