WWI Prisoner of War Collection with Letter From Buckingham Palace

WWI Prisoner of War Collection with Letter From Buckingham Palace

This collection of (40) photos and documents will astound you! These came from a survivor of a P.O.W. camp. Photos are curled severely, but condition is unimportant -- consider the content. All the horrific detail is captured - powerful photos, unbelievable acts committed - viewing is not for the weak. See prisoners of war executed by stretching; "death of 1,000 cuts" (Chinese tortures); beheadings; fields of fallen soldiers at the hands of Chinese generals and troops; civilian rebel women & children executed by shooting; we can go on but we won't. This comes with a letter handwritten by King George of England to the surviving prisoner. Also included are various military documents regarding the P.O.W., Private D. Slaven. These include a Duty Certificate, a letter to the Ministry of Labor, a letter from the Infantry Record Office, and a German note - most in poor condition - but you can see the significance. These are encased in an antique Allied Commodores wooden cigar box in Excellent condition with working clasp.
