Heavyweight Jack Johnson is the subject of this glass plate negative, shown training for the "Battle of the Century" against James J. Jeffries, where he would become the first African American Heavyweight Champion of the World. Condition is overall EX+. From Dana Studios, the "Charles Conlon" of boxing photography, these 5x7" to 7x9" treasures are the greatest find of its kind.
