Here's an original Type I photograph albumen print, which is the earliest commercial form of photograph on paper. It has a cartouche, or raised image, which reads "Dana Studio San Francisco." According to the info on the back, this is the "last round" of Willie Ritchie's first title shot with reigning Lightweight Champion Ad Wolgast on November 28, 1912, in San Francisco. "Ritchie had just hit Wolgast a hard one on the head and he is seen in the act of falling." Has in-painting which is the most artful we have seen. Measures 7x9" and the overall condition is Excellent. From Dana Studios, the "Charles Conlon" of boxing photography.
