1930 Buster Sheary 10k Gold Medal by Dieges & Clust
This 1930 football MVP medal was awarded to Lester H. "Buster" Sheary for his exceptional play as fullback for Catholic University. Sheary would later go on to coach basketball for Holy Cross University, compiling a 155-36 record across seven seasons and helping bring the team to two NCAA Tournaments and two NIT Tournaments. The medal itself was created by reknowned sports trophy maker Dieges & Clust and shows a helmet-bound football player running forward against a golden football backdrop with a crimson "C" above his head. Engraved on the back of the medal is "Most Valuable Player 1930 Lester H. Sheary". Condition is NRMT. Verso marked, "Dieges & Clust 10k."
