1984 Olympic Gold Medal
In a small black vinyl case with a latch and a handle is a wooden box that stands approximately 8x7" with a brass plaque that bears the trademark of the L.A. Olympic Committee, the five famous rings and the words "'The Gold' Created by Jostens for the LAOOC and the XXIIIrd Olympiad Games 1984." Slide the top off the wooden box to reveal a glass and wood display containing an single gold medal embossed "XXIII Olympiad Los Angeles 1984" on the front and with an image of the ancient olympics on the back. Both sides are etched "Sample." The medal is suspended from a striped ribbon in the colors of berry red, goldenrod yellow and mint green. A gold seal on the bottom of the display reads "Jostens, Minneapolis, Minn." The entire piece is NRMT.
