1936 World Series Framed Montage Hung at Yankee Stadium

1936 World Series Framed Montage Hung at Yankee Stadium

This is a fascinating piece - the frame is very early, dating circa 1936. The plaque reads, “Yankee Stadium / 1936 World Series / Saturday, October 3rd / Yankee vs. Giants.” It has framed clips from a 1930s Giants yearbook and a 1960s Jay publication, and it appears a panoramic photograph of the 1936 World Series was removed and replaced. The frame definitely hung in Yankee Stadium. The gold metal plaque is the same style as the 1970s Yankee Stadium ones from nearly 40 years later. It measures 47x15.5” and is EX.
