1956 Paloh Cup Sterling Silver Trophy
This trophy was awarded to Adelaide Star, the winner of the 1956 Paloh Cup, an event held at the Perak Turf Club in Malaysia. The Perak Turf Club is the oldest of four turf racing associations belonging to the Malayan Racing Association. The PTC was founded in 1864 and raced in Penang from 1869 until 1939 before moving to its current location in Batu Gantong, a 270-acre ultra-modern racecourse featuring an 18-hole golf course, with some holes actually located in the track infield. The trophy base is 3" tall; the weighty sterling silver trophy is 7" tall and marked "Made in England." Weight is 2lbs 14.9oz.
