1956 Sysonby Handicap Sterling Silver Trophy
This trophy was awarded to the horse Jet Action and his breeder Maine Chance Farms for winning the 1956 Sysonby Handicap, a GNYA race named after the famed horse Sysonby who was elected into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in the same year. It features the GNYA logo (which would become the NYRA two years later), a hinged lid and the race/date/winner etched into its side. The trophy stands 9" tall and is marked "England" with appropriate hallmarks.
