Humorous vintage photograph shows President Truman with his head superimposed on the body of a pitcher, pitching in a baseball uniform. The photo was used by<i> </i>the <i>Chicago Daily Times</i> as a basis for a “friendly” political cartoon. Comes with a letter dated April 9, 1949, signed “Harry” on White House stationary with a matching postmarked envelope. The letter thanks Russ for the baseball cartoon. It is extraordinarily rare and highly desirable to find a Presidential autograph piece with content relating to our national pastime. Signature is NRMT. Letter measures 7x9”, EX-MT.
