Harry S. Truman Letters as Senator and Vice President (6)
Consists of six pieces of correspondence - 4 letters signed by Truman (one as VP on "Office of the Vice President" stationary dated March 21, 1945, and 3 written as Senator on "United States Senate Committee on Military Affairs" stationary dated July & August, 1944). The remaining 2 pieces are lengthy typed letters from Stewart that bring into context the Truman letters. In only one of the letters (dated July 4, 1944) does he sign his full name; on the other three he signs “Harry”. The letter measures 7x9” and the envelope is 7.5x4.75”. The letters are VG-EX and the signatures are EX to NRMT.
